Rez HD (Xbox 360)

Rez HD remains true to its original version with the music, zany effects and lock-on shooter play. The game play remains simple; you lock enemies into sight and then destroy them. The music layers itself when you complete one mission. By the time you reach the boss, the visuals are exhilarating and the music is ready to rock and roll.

The game has a tutorial mode, travelling mode and play mode. Each one is equally well defined and high scored start unlocking hidden modes. Your progress is measured by total enemy kills, support items collected and analysis of nodes. The game ranged from basic fun to challenging thrills but never becomes frustrating. You receive bonuses and rewards for completing challenges and the game always appreciates your efforts. The visuals are detailed and zany but look good in high definition. The music as always is trippy and shows a lot of global influence. The story is not all that important and reading it can be given a miss. The game loads up on gaming and replay value because of the different levels of challenges and modes it offers.

The price of the game comes in at 10$ which is surprisingly cheap for a shooter game packed with thrills and such a staggering amount of exciting content. Overall, some design quirks aside, the game is recommended to all shooting game fans.
