Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 (Xbox 360)
As compared to the 08 version, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 is a well rounded game. When not comparing, it still stacks pretty high on the scale with better controls, easier online play and improved content.
Considering how punishing the 08 controls were, the 09 ones seem heavenly in comparison. While not the easiest ones, you can customize them and get instant feedback when you go wrong. There are 16 golf courses to play on and a huge roster of top players to pick from. You can customize your own player and move forward with the career mode. Your objective is to earn money by completing events and earning credit from Haney, Tiger Wood’s coach who makes his first appearance in the game. There are many small but significant improvements in the online play that makes it a great treat to play. Other than that, having the coach around will boost your skills with some good training. There are some glitches take place but on the whole, the visuals are fantastic (especially the huge water ponds) and in the game sound track gels easily with the game.
With the controls no longer being troublesome and coach Haney providing some decent advice, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 goes a long way. It’s a great game to pick up for both fans and rookies to the genre of sports games.
